Moments from My Animation

Yesterday, 6:45 minutes

“Yesterday” tells the story of a young girl trying to find her place in the world. It explores how shame can sometimes push us to grow, learn, and confront our fears.

When I was a tree, 7:56 minutes

“When I was a tree” is about immigration and how a person must learn everything again when they arrive in a new place. It is also about the people who help you grow during that process—because in many ways, we are all like trees, shaped by the roots we build and the care we receive.

During my animation journey, I created these short exercises to practice lip sync and explore the relationship between sound and movement. The original audio has been removed because it was taken from a film and relied on its context.

To Spring , 3:26 minutes

To Spring is an unfinished animation that combines printmaking and hand-drawn animation to create a quiet, fragile atmosphere. It has no audio, as I have not yet found a soundtrack that matches its emotional tone.
